Name
Pre-Conference Workshop | Mind-Body Training: Self-Regulation Toolbox for ADHD Care
Description
Emotional and nervous system regulation are essential for ADHD care, yet many struggle with intense emotions, sensory overload, and executive function challenges. This interactive workshop offers six evidence-based techniques to enhance focus, emotional balance, and stress management through neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness-based practices.
Participants will begin with belly breathing to shift from fight-flight-freeze into a state of calm. A guided body scan will enhance body awareness, helping them recognize physical stress signals. Sensory profiling will allow attendees to identify overstimulation or under stimulation and experiment with micro-adjustments to improve regulation. Movement, balance, and coordination exercises will stimulate dopamine, boost cognitive flexibility, and strengthen executive function. Finally, an emotional awareness practice will introduce interoception techniques to help distinguish emotions from body sensations and thoughts, fostering awareness, deepening compassion, and building resilience.
This session is designed for individuals with ADHD, caregivers, educators, and professionals seeking practical tools for ADHD care. Attendees will leave with a personalized self-regulation toolbox, ready to integrate these techniques into daily life, education, or professional support roles.
Join us for an immersive experience that empowers individuals to navigate ADHD-related challenges with greater awareness, confidence, and connection.
