Name
Grounding & Growing: A Practice
Description
Whether you live with ADHD, love someone who does, or serve the ADHD community, this gentle yoga and mindfulness session is designed with you in mind.
Growing begins with grounding — when we root ourselves in the present, we find the stability and strength to expand in whichever way we choose.
For individuals with ADHD, movement-based mindfulness offers a uniquely accessible entry point into present-moment awareness — helping to regulate the nervous system, reduce impulsivity, and build the kind of sustained attention that traditional seated meditation can make feel impossible. Yoga's combination of breath, body, and intentional movement creates a sensory-rich environment where focus can actually feel natural.
For parents, caregivers and professionals, this session offers a moment to reconnect with your body and restore the emotional reserves that compassionate caregiving and support demands.
A mindfulness practice can be helpful in the heat of the moment and can be built over time to improve mood and reduce stress. It takes, well, practice, and showing up to nurture your nervous system in a community can feel really good, like an act of self-love.
All levels welcome. No yoga experience necessary — just a willingness to slow down, tune in, and move.
