Name
AAPI Identity & ADHD Peer Support Group
Description
This peer-led gathering welcomes adults with ADHD who identify as AAPI to explore the intersection of neurodivergence and cultural identity. For many, receiving an ADHD diagnosis prompts a re-examination of how cultural context has shaped our lived experiences and self-understanding. Together we will reflect on how discovering ADHD reshapes our understanding of cultural upbringing and consider which values and practices from our heritage we want to carry forward.
All experiences are welcomed, including those of first-generation immigrants, diaspora, mixed-heritage, and those navigating multiple cultural contexts. Through guided reflection and dialogue, participants will connect, share perspectives, and explore ways to navigate ADHD while finding their own middle ground between cultural values and neurodivergent needs in a supportive peer space.
