This presentation will delve into the ins and outs of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and how it can be a game-changer for those who have ADHD. The neurodivergent tend to be under- or unemployed due to a lack of interest or engagement in education. CTE provides hands-on learning that is engaging and often yields industry credentials, allowing for high-wage, high-need, and in-demand jobs.
There will be several activities, including employability skills and executive function match-up, a quiz game with prizes, and a wealth of information from recent research. Access and supports, how to help students choose clusters and pathways, sharing and collaboration of effective and engaging educational methods, student leadership, work-based learning, and student career development will be discussed in this high-energy presentation.
