Name
AI as an Executive Function Partner for ADHD Clients
Description
Executive function deficits are among the most clinically significant features of ADHD in adulthood — and the hardest to treat at the implementation level. Despite insight and evidence-based interventions, clients continue to struggle with task initiation, cognitive overload, and the anxiety that accumulates when daily functioning repeatedly breaks down. This session presents a clinically grounded framework for integrating AI tools as adjunctive executive function scaffolds within therapeutic and coaching practice. Attendees will explore the mechanisms by which AI reduces cognitive load, interrupts avoidance cycles, and compensates for working memory deficits — extending the reach of clinical work between sessions. Ethical considerations, informed consent, and contraindications are addressed throughout.
