Name
Lifelong Bullying in ADHD: Phase 2 Survey Findings and Reclaiming Agency
Description
Bullying is often framed as a childhood issue that fades with age, yet many adults with ADHD report that bullying continues into adulthood through social exclusion, workplace conflict, and reputational harm. This interactive workshop presents Phase 2 findings from the CWB Adult ADHD Bullying Survey examining patterns of bullying across childhood and adulthood among individuals with ADHD.
Participants will explore how ADHD-related traits may influence social dynamics and increase vulnerability to bullying across environments. The workshop will also examine the psychological impact of repeated bullying experiences, including rejection sensitivity, anxiety, and hypervigilance in interpersonal settings.
Moving beyond simply identifying victimization, this session focuses on awareness and reclaiming agency. Participants will explore tools coaches and therapists can use to help ADHD individuals understand bullying dynamics, strengthen boundaries, rebuild psychological safety, and develop healthier social relationships.
Through discussion, reflection, and applied exercises, attendees will gain practical strategies to support ADHD clients navigating complex interpersonal environments.
