Name
A Mixed-Methods Study of ADHD Coaching for Adults
Description
The IOC-ICF coaching research grant program, led by the Institute of Coaching and funded by the International Coaching Federation supported a mixed-methods study of ADHD coaching for adults. The study explored outcomes including ADHD symptoms, executive functioning and functional impairment as well as goal attainment, employing widely-used, validated instruments. Data was collected before and after 12-session individual coaching engagements and at a six-week post-coaching follow-up. Interviews, conducted at the conclusion of coaching, explored participant experiences and perceptions of ADHD coaching. The study design and both quantitative and qualitative findings—as well as their implications for support of adults with ADHD—will be shared in this conference session.
