Speaker Bio (200 words)
Lucía is a Latina ADHD coach, educator, and content creator who blends lived experience with professional insight to make ADHD knowledge more accessible and empowering. Diagnosed at age 10, Lucía grew up in a family where ADHD was part of everyday life—except not everyone believed in it. Her father, like many, doubted the diagnosis and its impact, which deeply shaped her understanding of how stigma and misinformation affect families. While working as her mother’s assistant—a psychiatrist specializing in ADHD—Lucía heard countless stories from patients who had spent years misunderstood. Many shared the same struggle: a lack of accessible information in Spanish and professionals who dismissed or misdiagnosed their symptoms. This gap inspired her to create EspacioTDAH, a platform offering relatable, research-informed ADHD content for Spanish-speaking communities. It’s for people with ADHD, their loved ones, and for those like her dad—who might not believe at first but deserve the chance to understand. Lucía is the co-host of the EspacioTDAH podcast, which has been recognized by the APA as a valuable psychoeducational resource. She has collaborated with the APA and currently leads the Influencer Workgroup for the International Conference on ADHD."
