Name
Peer Support Group | Parents of Children with ADHD (for all ages)
Description
Our children are amazing AND parenting a child with ADHD can be confusing, lonely, anxiety-producing, and exhausting. You are not alone! This group is for parents of children of all ages with ADHD. It is a blend of education, insight, and support, in a safe, non-judgmental space. It is about understanding, connection, and hope.
We will explore powerful approaches and tools to create game-changing lens shifts, as we address specific challenges and shared experiences that arise from group participants, and together discover new ways to respond.
Parents have the opportunity to share concerns, successes, and community with other parents. It’s a place to find empowerment, solve problems, and share tools and resources. The group provides a way to move away from isolation, confusion, and anger, toward understanding, connection, and family harmony. We normalize issues, reduce shame, foster acceptance, and magnify learning.
New research on ADHD and the brain, combined with the science of positive psychology, help us learn how to experience things differently, reset our nervous system, and respond differently to our children. Together, we access compassion, reframe perspectives, focus on strengths, practice collaborative problem-solving, and work to restore connection, cooperation, and tranquility at home.
