Peer Support Group | Navigating ADHD Parenthood: Breaking the Stigma & Building Support
Description
Parenthood presents a “perfect storm” of challenges for individuals with ADHD. From sleep deprivation and disrupted routines to the overwhelming demands of raising children, ADHD parents often struggle with an overburdened cognitive load. Without strong social support, many feel unheard, isolated, and overwhelmed. This session, led by two licensed therapists who are also ADHD parents, aims to break the stigma surrounding ADHD in parenthood. Together, we’ll explore the unique struggles ADHD parents face, from executive functioning difficulties to societal pressures, and share practical strategies for managing the chaos. Attendees will receive a handout with actionable resources and have the opportunity to connect in a supportive, judgment-free space. Whether you need validation, practical advice, or just a place to vent, this session is for you.
