Name
Peer Support Group | Skin Picking, Hair Pulling, Nail Biting & ADHD: Finding Community
Description
In the ADHD community, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) like skin picking, hair pulling, and nail biting are common—yet they’re often misunderstood, minimized as “bad habits,” and accompanied by deep shame and isolation. This peer support group offers a safe and welcoming space for individuals navigating the intersection of ADHD and BFRBs. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how living with a BFRB alongside ADHD can affect self-confidence, self-trust, and personal identity. Through guided conversation and community connection, participants will have the opportunity to gain deeper insight into their experiences, connect around shared challenges, and walk away with practical strategies and peer-sourced wisdom from others who truly understand.
