Empowering Late Diagnosed Women: Therapeutic & Coaching Insights for Transformation
Description
Receiving an ADHD diagnosis later in life can be a profound and disorienting experience for women, often reshaping their sense of identity. This session explores the unique emotional and psychological challenges that arise post-diagnosis, including doubt, grief, self-blame, burnout from decades of masking and trying to "just push through," and the cultural pressure to “fix” oneself. You might wonder: "How do I actually move forward after all these years?" or "Can't I just fix this already?" Through a combined coaching and therapeutic lens, we’ll examine how women can integrate their diagnosis in a more empowering way—balancing self-knowledge with the desire for growth. The coaching perspective will highlight challenges with fusing oneself to rigid labels or narratives instead of getting to a balanced self-perspective and how to pivot from perfectionism to mental flexibility so you can better tackle day to day life with ADHD. The therapeutic approach will explore deeper relational patterns and wounds, how to honor needs and limits with better boundaries, and practical ways to more effectively regulate emotions. Attendees will leave with realistic, effective and practical tools to navigate their ADHD journey with greater clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance. (All levels encouraged to join!)
